The Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance (JBEF) calls for paper submissions for a special issue titled “Artificial intelligence for behavioral finance”. This special issue will focus on the actual and potential application of the techniques of artificial intelligence (AI) to issues in behavioural finance.
TOPICS: For empirical studies this can include any machine learning and other testing approaches commonly applied as tools of artificial intelligence. As discussions of empirical applications and methodological developments in machine learning and related approaches tends to be more condensed than in econometrics, paper length can start from a minimum of 2000 words.
Exploratory papers on topics related to AI for behavioral finance are also very welcome. These can be review or policy papers or a combination of both. Potential areas might include robo-advising, risk management, investment support, algorithmic trading, as well as discussions around new data sources and needs as well as ethical issues. These exploratory papers should clearly focus on behavioral financial decision making in their coverage. We welcome PhD candidate papers as well as industry position papers on these topics.
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: The deadline for paper submissions is September 30, 2019, and submissions can be made through the regular journal submission process: https://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-behavioral-and-experimental-finance. Please select article type “SI AI Behavioral Fin.” when submitting your paper (there is no submission fee).
